450

The Monster energy cup was an event not to miss. Held in the Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, The MEC brought together some of the best in Professional Motocross for a chance to win a whopping 1 million dollars. In the first main event, Adam Ciancarulo was able to seize the holeshot but was not able to hold onto it long, a little bobble set him back. With Ciancarulo falling back, it left the lead to Vince Friese. With Vince Friese holding off Tomac and Stewart he had a very hard job to do. Tomac finds a faster line and comes to snatch the Lead away. Tomac holds the lead till the last lap in which he enters the infamous joker lane…. Coming through the checkered flag it is a flash of green as Tomac takes the win, Ciancarulo second and Stewart takes the tail end of the top 3.

With moto one finished and the second moto underway, everybody is wondering if Tomac can get a number one and possibly get a step closer to the Monster million. The gate drops and what a surprise. Jeremy Martin has been off the bike for sixteen months is able to pull a gnarly holeshot. Out of nowhere, Vince Friese is able to take Jeremy Martins line away and scoot up to the front. Tomac is able to take the inside line away from Martin and come to a stable second place. Tomac is on the hunt for Friese then bang he flips the bike over scrubbing a jump, gets back up in a hurry but it costs him a few hard-earned spots. With the eyes on Tomac, Stewart is able to take the lead. Stewart and Ciancarulo go through the joker lane, Stewart's leg gets pulled off the bike but is able to keep it together and goes for the moto win, with Ciancarulo close behind he is able to take the second position, tomac takes third. An impressive win for stewart with 9 months off the bike.

The monster million is off the table and the tension is high for who will win the 100,000 dollars up for grabs, three riders all tied at 4 points the one with the lowest score will get to receive 100,000 plus the bragging rights of winning the Monster Energy Cup. The Gate drops and Ac is able to pull a top tier holeshot. Adam and Tomac go back and forth for almost what seems like forever. Banging bars, Frames you name it. With two laps to go Stewart is able to move up to third solidifying himself somewhere in the top 3. Two laps to go, Tomac, makes a bold move and takes the joker lane before Ciancarulo in hopes to make up time when AC Makes the move. AC makes his move towards the joker lane falls back but is able to maintain a front on Tomac. Within a bike length or less AC wins the MEC in his debut on 450, Tomac takes second, and Stewart takes third a respectable come back.

Supermini

With every MEC Feld entertainment offers a wonderful opportunity for up and coming young motocross racers. Super mini racers are able to be on live television and race the same track that the pros did just prior. Gavin Towers one of our Seatbounce featured riders is one of these elite riders with this truly awesome opportunity. The gate drops and Evan Ferry pulls a respectable holeshot, with Gavin Towers hot on his trail. Towers has a little work to do with Evan pulling a two-second gap. Through Monster Alley these two give everything these superminis have. The skill these boys have is absolutely mind-boggling, with Ferry now having a 4-second gap Gavin is giving everything the Team Green Monster Energy Pro Circuit bike it has. Evan Ferry takes Race number one, Towers 2nd, and Viney Third on his Ktm.

With moto 2 underway the gate drops and the 97 of Noah Stevens is able to pull away with the holeshot but Ferry is able to catch up very quickly. With Towers running third he is able to move up to second when the track runs out of the stadium. Hymas is in third running close to his fellow teammate, team green is sitting good. 2 laps to go Towers boggles just a little bit and gives hit teammate Hymas a chance to take 2nd. The last lap, with Ferry looking confident in his number one spot, he starts to pull away with the clear view, but Hymas slowly starts closing the gap in the Monster Alley sand section. Checkered flag comes up and Ferry goes 1-1 with Hymas running second in this moto and Towers running third. Overall Ferry was able to conquer the track and take the number one plate home, Towers took second and Gilmore going home with third.

250’s

Lawrence with the holeshot for moto 1, Ryder Floyd swung around the corner after Monster Alley with such momentum that he was able to swing around Lawrence taking the lead. Side by side Lawrence goes for it and takes the lead back. With Lawrence running first, Floyd running second and Papi running third things are getting heated. Floyd running in second loses traction giving swoll a chance to move up to third and the others in front to move up one position. Checkered flag Lawrence takes the win, with Papi taking second and Swoll taking the end of the top 3. Overall Lawrence was able to grab the win with Swoll running second and Papi with a third.
